Re:  WILDLIFE ALERT

Dear Residents:

We live in the Sunshine State. We have bodies of water all around us in the form of lakes, canals, rivers, and wetlands.

Wildlife including, but not limited to, alligators and venomous snakes live in bodies of water.  Wildlife come out of the water to seek heat and food. The rainy season brings alligators and venomous snakes farther inland.

Alligator and venomous snake attacks have occurred. There have been many incidents reported in the news. People have lost their limbs and their lives in alligator and venomous snake attacks. Such attacks have occurred just outside their doors (under the door sill), in their yards, next to lakes, while on sidewalks around lakes, and in other community areas.

Please be alert of your surroundings and use extreme caution at all times, especially with children and pets. Wildlife, including venomous snakes and alligators, may be present in the community and pose a risk.

Please inform the authorities and management of any wildlife sightings.
